This was a total strip out of the old (very poorly fitted) utility, removal of old the old floor tiles, removal of the old ceiling and full rebuild with new insulation, and all walls and ceiling freshly boarded out with fresh new plaster.
My customers wanted their new engineered oak flooring to all flow throughout the conservatory and the utility. This meant breaking out the utility floor and reinstating it to bring it up and finish the same height as the conservatory losing the annoying step that was there.
Once I reinstated the sub floor in the utility, it was all latexed to give a perfectly flat finish ready for the flooring to go down. My customers chose to go for this beautiful, Studley Earth engineered oak flooring which was glorious to work with and looks incredible.
Once I had completed fitting the flooring I fitted new skirtings throughout too.
I then finished off fitting the Allendale Dove Grey utility with walnut coloured worktop. My customers hadn’t had hot water in this room since they moved in 5 years ago and I was determined to make this happen for them. So, we supplied and fitted a brand new 15 litre hot water tank, with instant hot water.
Whilst I was there they asked if I could remove and replace their old UPVC back door (which lead into the conservatory) for a new glazed oak door. This wasn’t part of the original scope of works but I managed to get this done for them whilst I was there to give the finished look and make their life a lot easier.
My customers were really happy with the quality of the finish.
We got in contact with Chris to help with a tricky project in completely overhauling our old and very poorly finished utility as well as redoing the flooring throughout it and our conservatory as well as replacing an old external door.
From start to finish Chris was amazing! Extremely easy to speak with, explained the process throughout, made recommendations and accommodated some challenging requests from myself. He even entertained my children for me when they snuck out to see what he was getting up to.
